'all other things being equal'

Ecuador is classed as one of the world biodiversity 'hotspots'. Many romanticize the idea of saving one of the last bastions of biodiversity. The reality on the ground however, is a complex one, where trees are valued for their timber and not for their crucial role in the ecosystem. This project (in parallel to the PhD scientific research) aims to incorporate socio-economic data and photography in order to highlight the interactions between social and environmental issues.
